Cystic lesions of the pancreas are increasingly being recognized due to the widespread use of cross-sectional imaging, and include a large variety of lesions with different etiology and biology, each requiring a different management strategy [1]–[5]. The exclusion of a pseudocyst, generally found in patients with a history of acute or chronic pancreatitis, is the first aim of the primary approach to a pancreatic cyst. The evaluation of a pancreatic cystic tumor should be directed toward differentiation between benign and malignant behavior [6].

Abstract
Cystic lesions of the pancreas are increasingly being recognized due to the widespread use of cross-sectional imaging, and include a large variety of lesions with different etiology and biology, each requiring a different management strategy [1]–[5]. The exclusion of a pseudocyst, generally found in patients with a history of acute or chronic pancreatitis, is the first aim of the primary approach to a pancreatic cyst. The evaluation of a pancreatic cystic tumor should be directed toward differentiation between benign and malignant behavior [6].File in questo prodotto:
