Purpose: To report our preliminary experience in performing viscocanalostomy in patients with intraocular inflammation and secondary glaucoma. Methods: Viscocanalostomy was performed in patients with longstanding uveitis and uncontrolled secondary glaucoma. Results: Ten patients were included in the study. Diagnosis of uveitis included idiopathic, sarcoid, herpetic, JRA. Median follow-up time from surgery was 24 months (range 2–38 ). Median initial IOP was 32 mm Hg (range 26–48); median final IOP was 16 mm Hg (range 9–20). No statistically significant difference between initial and final visual acuity was found. Conclusion: Viscocanalostomy can be an effective alternative in treating glaucoma in uveitis patients.
