With the growing internationalization of European universities, students of architecture and civil engineering, who are opening up to a global market, are increasingly required to study/work in English. This paper discusses the survey results of students’ writing needs at two Erasmus+ partner universities in the Czech Republic and Italy. The data show that students need to write similar genres, use similar online tools and want to improve their writing skills in English. The elicited genres and online tools suggest ideas for ESP teaching.

Abstract
With the growing internationalization of European universities, students of architecture and civil engineering, who are opening up to a global market, are increasingly required to study/work in English. This paper discusses the survey results of students’ writing needs at two Erasmus+ partner universities in the Czech Republic and Italy. The data show that students need to write similar genres, use similar online tools and want to improve their writing skills in English. The elicited genres and online tools suggest ideas for ESP teaching.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
