Esplorare la solidarietà tra giustizia e azione sociale

In this paper, I aim to reply to Annalisa Ceron’s and Enzo Colombo’s comments on my book Solidarietà. Filosofia di un’idea sociale with respect to the relationship between justice, civic friendship and solidarity, and the issue of shared cause and involvement in solidaristic actions. I argue that solidarity should be considered as the other side of justice, as well as not a mere alternative but a virtue akin to civic friendship. Finally, I briefly touch upon the question regarding the boundaries of solidarity as social action.
