Risk stratification for sudden cardiac death (SCD) is a multiparametric process that integrates the data from family history, clinical evaluation, electrocardiographic findings, arrhythmic burden, and cardiovascular imaging. Echocardiography is the first-line imaging modality for both diagnosis and risk stratification of cardiovascular diseases associated with SCD. Advances in echocardiography and multimodality imaging have identified a number of parameters with proven prognostic value in SCD risk stratification. Abstract

CMR = Cardiac magnetic resonance, CT = Computed tomography, ECG = Electrocardiogram, ECHO = Echocardiography
