Presentazione del forum Religioni e spazio pubblico

This introduction aims to point at the core features of the contributions of this special section, dealing with freedom of religion in the public space. The authors have been involved in a public dialogue meant to analyse the relationship among faith and politics in the light of the current contradictions of both Italian and European society. On the ground of a common theoretical framework, provided by the first contribution, the rest of the articles focus on practical examples such as the exhibition of religious symbols in the public space and the teaching of religions in public schools. These examples show how religious freedom and its possible limits are still urgent matters.
