In referring to Edmund Husserl’s phenomenology, I present a meta-philosophical proposal based on phenomenology as eidetics. I argue that phenomenological philosophy as eidetics is a qualitative ontology of individual and concrete objects, and suggest that it provides methodological and conceptual instruments for accounting for our experience of the «life-world» adequately. In order to develop this proposal, I make two points. The first deals with the issue of the existence of essences in «things themselves» and defends the claim that phenomenology as eidetics is an ontology of individual and concrete objects: indeed, essences are the bound-constraints that define the possible co-variation of the parts of any individual as a whole. The second focuses on the issue of ontological quality and argues for eidetics as a qualitative ontology: it shows that degrees of constraint, eidetic paradigms and qualities of values characterize the «things themselves» and our experience of them.

Abstract
The second focuses on the issue of ontological quality and argues for eidetics as a qualitative ontology: it shows that degrees of constraint, eidetic paradigms and qualities of values characterize the «things themselves» and our experience of them.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
